Charity begins at home, and Canadians donot mind paying for social services others require, it is the nature of our social democratic society.Which is why we don't mind paying taxes. If the services are provided. We bitch when they aren't. And of course you get a tax recieipt for your donation, which gives you more of a tax deduction than RRSP's.
