A Tsunami Struck Juneau; A Distant Large Landslide was to Blame

Last Sunday on August 10th of 2025, Juneau was unexpectedly struck by tsunami. Despite its very small size, it originated at a far more substantial initial height nearly 60 miles away as a result of one of Alaska's largest landslides in decades. Today's video will discuss this landslide, why it was detected by seismic sensors, and why the earthquake occurred through the perspective of a geologist.
