Using data from field experiments and modeling of ground faults, researchers at Tufts University have discovered that the practice of subsurface fluid injection used in 'fracking' and wastewater disposal for oil and gas exploration could cause significant, rapidly spreading earthquake activity beyond the fluid diffusion zone.

The study, published today in the journal Science, tests and strongly supports the hypothesis that fracking fluid injections are causing potentially damaging earthquakes further afield by the slow slip of pre-existing fault fracture networks, in domino-like fashion.

Sweeping changes buried in housing bill called ‘doomsday scenario’ for Ontario’s endangered species | The Star

The Ford government buried 20 pages of sweeping changes to Ontario’s Endangered Species Act in Thursday’s omnibus housing bill, amendments that wildlife experts say would gut protections for the province’s at-risk animals and plants.

Bill 108, the “More Homes, More Choice Act,” would weaken classification criteria, allow the environment minister to delay protections for up to three years, and provide developers, industry and others who impact the habitat of endangered species with a suite of options to continue their activities, including a fee-in-lieu fund derided by critics as “pay to slay.”

Berkshire Hathaway Vice Chairman Charlie Munger criticized the competence of Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Elizabeth Warren, saying that politicians focused on income inequality are “idiots.”

Scott Pedersen Adam Smith: the free hand guides the motivations behind capitalism. The free hand works best with competition. However, without proper regulation to maintain fairness and competition the free hand will backhand smack the crap out of you. Elizabeth Warren knows this stuff the best.

Capitalism is by far the best system around for almost every industry. However, for many reasons we prove that for healthcare it’s not the greatest. We need profit incentives for developing new medicines. However, the avg single payer country that quality covers everyone spends 8-10% of GDP. We spend 17% GDP and not everyone is covered. That works out to over a trillion year of waste and inefficiency in our system. 
That money can be better used keeping deficits low and in the pockets of consumers and investors putting money to work in the rest of our exceptional efficient capitalist system.

There is your conservative argument for single payer.
