Scott Pedersen Adam Smith: the free hand guides the motivations behind capitalism. The free hand works best with competition. However, without proper regulation to maintain fairness and competition the free hand will backhand smack the crap out of you. Elizabeth Warren knows this stuff the best.

Capitalism is by far the best system around for almost every industry. However, for many reasons we prove that for healthcare it’s not the greatest. We need profit incentives for developing new medicines. However, the avg single payer country that quality covers everyone spends 8-10% of GDP. We spend 17% GDP and not everyone is covered. That works out to over a trillion year of waste and inefficiency in our system. 
That money can be better used keeping deficits low and in the pockets of consumers and investors putting money to work in the rest of our exceptional efficient capitalist system.

There is your conservative argument for single payer.
