This demonstrates the stupidity of the Conservatives who fail to understand that Global Warming does not mean that Alberta will become the tropics but that dramatic climate shifts, extreme weather patterns will continue to occur, going from deep cold snaps to extreme drought.
A November cold snap prompted Public Safety Minister Stockwell Day to dismiss Al Gore's climate change crusade in a website article brimming with mockery. Day's letter to his constituents in the British Columbia riding of Okanagan-Coquihalla constituents last week opened with a shot at the former U.S. vice-president. Day wrote that a recent cold snap had him "begging for Big Al's Glacial Melt when the mercury hit -24.''
When asked about the blog after question period, Day walked away from reporters and refused to comment.
John Bennett, senior policy adviser at the Sierra Club of Canada, said Day's comments are symptomatic of the government's position on the environment.
"What the blog demonstrates is what the government of Canada really thinks about climate change, that it is something to joke about, not something to take seriously and the policies of the government reflect that,'' he said.

The trouble is when it's cold out you want to mention "climate change" when it's warm it's "global warming".
What's it going to be, one or the other ?
I know I'm just to challenged in special ways to understand.
I'm ashamed I was once represented by him...... back when I lived in Penticton. Now I'm represented by Ralph Klein provincially (Not for long though :) ) I just can't get away from them.
Blanks57 Climate Change is the polite apolitical way of speaking of Global Warming. They are interchangable terms.
The result is the same. CO2 emmissions climb, resulting in a thicking of the atmosphere and planetary warming. The problem is planetary warming does not mean that we will live in the tropics rather that the ice caps will melt as they are doing, and that we will get increasingly extreme weather conditions, whether cold or drought.
