The Wild Rose province, the 'stunt double' for Wyoming, should be the one to benefit from Brokeback Mountain's success, tourism marketers say

There is an uncomfortable irony in all this.

Homophobic Alberta fought hard against gay human rights, with the Vriend case. Opposed Same Sex Marriage, and cabinet never did recognize k.d. lang as an honorary Albertan cause she was a lesbian.

Homophobic Wyoming is where Matthew Shepard was brutally murdered for being gay.
