This sort of thing on the part of the mainstream media shouldn't be surprising. It is almost as if they enjoy bad news. Years ago if a traffic accident occured in Regina the television people would say something like "A ford ran into a chevy at Albert and llth Ave. Police are investigating" ... or something like that. Now they insist on showing as many ugly details as possible.
