Right-wing crew members followed and accused university instructor David Boyles of supporting pedophilia

Aqueer instructor at Arizona State University was allegedly attacked by two Turning Point USA associates who followed him around campus, accusing him of supporting pedophilia.
Inside Higher Ed reported that during a visit to the Phoenix campus, the associates began filming themselves following David Boyles, asking him questions like "How long you’ve been attracted to minors" and "How long you’ve fantasized about minors having sex with adults."
Turning Point USA, a right-wing organization, claims that Boyles assaulted their cameraman, posting a video that ends with him pushing the camera away after being followed for at least 90 seconds.
"Boyles’s assault resulted in a disconnected wire that caused the video to cut out immediately after his first lunge, but the video is clear that Mr. Boyles, in a moment of rage, initiated a physical altercation and attacked our crew," the caption read.
However, security footage taken after Turning Point USA's video concluded shows that the associate who had been asking questions shoved Boyles to the ground.
“One filmed on his phone while the other shouted horrible and incendiary things at me, repeating standard right-wing nonsense about Drag Story Hour and also accusing me personally of pedophilia and hating America,” Boyles wrote in a now-private Instagram message that also included a photo of his face bloodied after the confrontation.
Boyles is a writing instructor who specializes in "popular culture, digital literacy, visual rhetoric, and the rhetoric of higher education," according to his website bio. The University released a statement saying, "Harassment or threatening behavior toward ASU employees is dangerous, unsettling, and will not be tolerated."
