French government considers tax relief measures for workers: PM's office
French Prime Minister Sébastien Lecornu is considering several options to reduce the tax burden on workers, a government source told AFP on Thursday, as unions launched a new day of nationwide protests aimed at influencing the upcoming budget.

Other proposals under review include the reinstatement of the “Macron bonus” — a value-sharing bonus that can be exempt from income tax and social contributions — and new incentives to encourage financial transfers to grandchildren and younger generations.
“The ability to make a living from one’s work and the remaining disposable income remain top concerns for French citizens,” the source said.
