Wordpress has just set up a blogspot like service. Might be worth checking out -- Wordpress is open source too, so you can support the free software way of doing things.
Yes it sucks Eugene. I was known as CRITICAl at modblog. I went there after seeing your wonderful blog redbetweenthelines, but now MB has become a real pain indeed. My new home is at http://lgjournal.blogspot.com All the best for you and your blogs :)
