Immediate & Longer Term Costs & Consequences of US Empire’s Iran War
April 26 presentation to the Mt. Diablo Peace & Justice Center conference on ‘The Middle East in Crisis’, in which Jack Rasmus summarizes the recent 2 months economic consequences (to US and global economies) and likely continuing costs and consequences as the US Empire’s war with Iran continues. The presentation also provides a partial view of his research and arguments, in his forthcoming June 2026 book The Twilight of American Imperialism from Clarity Press, on why empirically the American Empire is in decline and how the war and Trump administration is accelerating the process.
