JAMA Network Open
Peer-Reviewed PublicationAbout The Study: The findings of this study provide genetic evidence supporting an association between hypertensive disorders of pregnancy and higher risk of coronary artery disease and stroke, which is only partially mediated by cardiometabolic factors. This supports classification of hypertensive disorders of pregnancy as risk factors for cardiovascular disease.
