Acts of heroism helped minimize the bloodshed after gunfire erupted at a Colorado school, authorities say.

UPDATE: One student dead in Colorado school shooting and multiple others wounded.

Two individuals "walked into the STEM school, got deep inside the school and engaged students in two separate locations," Sheriff says.

Attack took place 5 miles from Columbine school where 12 students were shot in 1999.
Two suspects are in custody -- an adult man and a male youth.
