This month, Sly and the Family Stone's 1971 album There's A Riot Goin' On turns 50. The record was a commercial success, but it was also a big shift for the band – and, it was kind of weird. World Cafe correspondent John Morrison dives into this innovative album, exploring its songs and the unique way it combines genres, from blues to psychedelic rock.
