Hezbollah official: US behind tragedies in region, entire world

Deputy Head of Hezbollah’s Executive Council Sheikh Ali Daamoush stressed on Saturday that most of conflicts and crises in the region and the world are created by the United States.

AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): Deputy Head of Hezbollah’s Executive Council Sheikh Ali Daamoush stressed on Saturday that most of conflicts and crises in the region and the world are created by the United States.

“The US is behind tragedies and destabilization of the region. Throughout eighty years the US has been creating crises and wars and backing terrorism across the world as well,” Sheikh Daamoush said during a local ceremony in Beirut.

Touching upon the conflict in Ukraine, the Hezbollah official said the US is the side who instigated for this war and worked to implicate Kiev in.

“The US is responsible for the tragedy in Ukraine with all its repercussions on the entire word,” he said in remarks carried by Al-Manar.

Sheikh Daamoush noted, meanwhile, that the US sanctions with all other forms of pressures on Lebanon mainly contributed to the economic collapse in the country.

“Washington policy in Lebanon is based on backing corrupts and serving the interest of the Israeli occupation.”

“The US, along with its allies, have been meddling in Lebanese internal affairs. And in the coming weeks, Washington will step up its pressure in Lebanon in a bid to back its tools in Lebanon in the upcoming elections and to implement its own scheme in our country.”

In this context, Sheikh Daamoush stressed on importance of the Parliamentary elections in order to “defend the Resistance and to serve the Lebanese people.”
