Top UN Official Resigns from his Position to Protest Failure Over Gaza Crisis

KABUL (BNA): A prominent member of the United Nations Human Rights Commission has resigned in protest of the organization’s failure to the Gaza Strip crisis.

He called the Zionist regime’s killing of Palestinians reprehensible and stated that a genocide is taking place right in front of our eyes.

Craig Mokhiber, director of the United Nations Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights in New York, stated in his resignation letter that it has become painfully clear that the United Nations has failed to uphold the imperatives of preventing mass violence, protecting the vulnerable, and holding perpetrators accountable.

The resignation of this senior member of the United Nations Human Rights Commission is a serious blow to the position of the United Nations, which claims to provide human rights are working unless and remains the observer of the killing of the Palestinian people by the Zionist regime.
