Fingers are being pointed Saturday at an openly gay member of Donald Trump's administration after what some have called the "disgrace" of the Kennedy Center, once known as the John F. Kennedy Memorial Center for the Performing Arts.

Richard Grenell, the White House special envoy who was named executive director of the Kennedy Center, has been in the news for reportedly drawing some complaints from staffers for not being on hand as the nation's cultural center dealt with a plunge in donations, artist cancellations and heavy subscriber losses.

CNN ran a story on Grenell Friday called "Kennedy Center president rebukes performer who called off Christmas Eve show over addition of Trump’s name."

"Kennedy Center president Richard Grenell lambasted a performer’s decision to cancel an annual Christmas Eve jazz concert, following the addition of President Donald Trump’s name to the Washington, DC, arts venue," it states.

That led to renewed fury at Grenell.

Fred Guttenberg, whose daughter Jaime was murdered in the Parkland school shooting, chimed in with, "It is a fact that Grenell long ago planted his tongue up in Trumps rectum."

"Anyone who he attacks should wear that as a badge of honor in defense of Democracy," he added.

Dem Congressman Eric Swalwell also weighed in, saying, "Of course Grenell was going to disgrace Kennedy’s good name. Kennedy went to Berlin and declared 'Ich bin ein Berliner' (I am a Berliner). Grenell went to Berlin as our Ambassador and hung out with AFD Nazi-sympathizers."

Commentator JoeMyGod wrote, "It’s quite a feat for Grenell to be the nation’s most detestable homosexual, considering that his competition includes George Santos and Peter Thiel, but here we are."

Writer Michael Weiss shared part of the CNN article on Saturday, adding, "Cancel a jazz concert on Christmas Eve because the president is megalomaniacal child, owe $1 million. As I've said, the Kennedy Center would do a lot more in ticket sales if it just had Ric Grenell starring in one-man show of Ric Grenell losing his s--- on stage for 90 minutes."
