President Donald Trump spent some of his campaign rally in Nebraska on Monday attacking Fox News after it had a progressive candidate on for an interview.

Abdul El-Sayed, who is running for a Senate seat in Michigan, joined Fox News host Martha MacCallum on "The Story," where he was asked to defend his support for certain policies, such as Medicare for All. El-Sayed turned some of MacCallum's attacks back on her during the interview and even asked the largely conservative audience whether they are better off now than they were two years ago.

Trump, who called El-Sayed a "communist" during his rally in Nebraska, was disgusted by Fox News' interview, and lashed out at the network during his speech.

"El-Sayed was just interviewed a little while ago on a certain network; I won't tell you which one," Trump said. "They let this guy talk, talk, talk. They hardly fight him at all. Why are they putting these people on our TV networks? Why? They always have to."

He then set his sights on another Fox News anchor who has frequently criticized him.

"Jessica Tarlov. What another loser," Trump said, and the crowd booed. "They put these voices on, and, you know, some of our guys defend. Some of our guys don't defend, which I think is really bad ... None of them project both sides, so I think they should stop it."
