President Donald Trump is MAGAfying the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, D.C.
In a post to his Truth Social app, Trump continued his blitz on the nation's capital by aiming at overhauling the Kennedy Center, a memorial to President John F. Kennedy that puts on more than 2,000 performing arts shows and events each year.
"At my direction, we are going to make the Kennedy Center in Washington D.C., GREAT AGAIN. I have decided to immediately terminate multiple individuals from the Board of Trustees, including the Chairman, who do not share our Vision for a Golden Age in Arts and Culture."
Trump added that his team will soon announce a new board — "with an amazing Chairman, DONALD J. TRUMP!"

"Just last year, the Kennedy Center featured Drag Shows specifically targeting our youth — THIS WILL STOP. The Kennedy Center is an American Jewel, and must reflect the brightest STARS on its stage from all across our Nation. For the Kennedy Center, THE BEST IS YET TO COME!"
The center is the official residence of the National Symphony Orchestra and the Washington National Opera.
The center's website immediately saw a deluge of internet traffic following Trump's announcement.
"We are experiencing high traffic. You are currently in a temporary waiting room to enter the Kennedy Center website," a message greeted website visitors Friday afternoon.
