General Says He Needs More Troops for Diyala
"I do not have enough soldiers in Diyala province to move that situation forward," Army Maj. Gen. Benjamin R. Mixon told reporters at the Pentagon via satellite hook-up from Iraq Friday morning. The last brigade of "the surge" is scheduled to arrive in a few weeks, but Mixon, while not articulating an exact number, indicated that his current needs exceed the capacity of the surge.
