Trends in the prevalence and severity of alcohol and cannabis use disorders among US adults

About the Study:

 In this cross-sectional study of 186,823 US adults, moderate-to-severe cannabis use disorder prevalence increased from 2021 through 2024 among males and females, while moderate-to-severe alcohol use disorder prevalence remained largely stable. The findings highlight diverging trends in cannabis and alcohol use disorders across age and sex groups.
