Missouri Republican made an eyebrow-raising acknowledgement to a right-wing podcast that he suspects giants were real.

Rep. Eric Burlison made the comments to BlazeTV host Alex Stein in a clip published July 30. The comments were first flagged by Meidas Touch.

Stein brought Burlison on the show to discuss popular conspiracy theories, including UFOs, interdimensional aliens, and other possible government cover-ups.

"Ok, Rep., this sounds so stupid, you know, but really they say that the military has remote viewing and they can look into other dimensions, I mean, can we — let's not even talk about space travel. Is there interdimensional travel in your opinion? Is that a real thing?"

Burlison pointed to quantum entanglement as evidence that there's "something deeper than the existence that we live on." He conceded that whether other beings exist in a "higher dimension" is another question, however.

"I remain skeptical," he said, clarifying he believes angels exist, and that there could be some overlap between the concept of aliens and what's in the Bible.

"While they call them angels, but at the end of the day they're not from Earth," he said.

Shortly thereafter, Stein asked the congressman his thoughts on another fabled being.

"Hey, Rep. They call me crazy but I think there was giants. I believe in the Nephilim. I believe that was real, Rep. And they're going to clip this and call you crazy. Were giants ever real in your opinion? I hope this doesn't get you canceled."

Burlison replied, "No, I'm going to say I do believe that they were real. I do believe. I do."

Burlison said he went deep down the conspiracy rabbit hole — and hinted at using his oversight power to look for giant bones hidden in the Smithsonian.

"We gotta figure out a strategy behind that," he said.

'We've never seen such a thing': Harvard expert flags odd piece of potential alien craft

A Harvard astronomer explained why an unidentified object detected this summer could potentially be an alien spacecraft.

Avi Loeb, the chair of the university's astronomy department, appeared Thursday on "CNN This Morning" to discuss speculation about the 3I/ATLAS interstellar object, which was first spotted on July 1 by the Deep Random Survey remote telescope in Chile.

"The brightness of the object implies a diameter of 20 km, and there is not enough rocky material, and there is not enough rocky material in interstellar space to deliver such a giant object per decade," Loeb said. "It takes 10,000 years for that much mass to arrive to the inner part of the solar system. Moreover, the trajectory of this object is very fine tuned. It lies in the plane of the orbits of the planets around the sun to within five degrees. The chance for that to happen is one in 500, and moreover, it passes very close to Jupiter, Mars and Venus with a chance of one per 20,000 if you just change the arrival time randomly, and it will arrive closest to the sun when the earth would be on the opposite side. We won't be able to observe it, but that's the perfect time for it to maneuver, and so we just need to watch it."

Loeb has posited that the object is slightly more likely than not to have been engineered instead of being a naturally occurring object, but he stopped short of saying it was built by alien life forms.

"I'm not saying it's an alien technology," Loeb said. "I'm just saying it doesn't look like a very common thing, and actually, the glow that is around this object, usually for comets, you see a trailing tail behind the object and here the glow from the Hubble Space Telescope image is actually in front of the object. We've never seen such a thing. A comet doesn't have glow in front of it."
