Thanks Werner

Thousands of readers I am told will now be coming here thanks to Werner Patels latest rant.

Well he claims he has thousands of readers;
This site attracts thousands of readers every day, hits of course do not a reader make. We can't tell if Werner, the pathological liar, is well lying again because his site meter is not publicly available. So we will have to take him at his word.

Anyways I am always happy to have links to my articles even if they come from right-whingnut blogs and even from those pathological types like Werner who suffer from multiple-blog personality syndrome.

As for his comment on my posts, he seems to be in a huff that I quoted the normally pro-Conservative, right wing media types who, unlike him, actually question the reasoning behind the Harper agenda of abandoning Canadians to the death penalty abroad. The Harpocrites claim it will only impact Canadians duly tried and found guilty in democracies. I point out, as do they, that this appears to be another Hidden Agenda on the part of the Stephen Harper Party. And he gets all verklepmt.

Werner goes one step further, he was overjoyed when this policy reversal was first announced, and claims that even a country like Singapore will be able to execute Canadians without the Harpocrites batting an eyelash.

Similarly, if a Canadian is caught smuggling or dealing drugs in Singapore or other countries where capital punishment is the preferred type of sanction for such crimes, he will also have to face the music.
Ahem, note to Werner, Singapore is a city state run by a dictatorship it is not a democracy.

Senior Minister Goh Chok Tong wowed his audience at a conference in London, by telling them that Singapore was not a liberal democracy and that we didn't have "a totally independent press".

So even under Harpers misguided new death penalty policy Singapore does not qualify. Unless of course Werner has some inside information that links the Harpocrites new War On Drugs with promoting the Death Penalty for Canadians caught abroad. Of course that would affect these guys.

In fact Singapore has a cozy relationship with the Military Rulers of Burma, birds of a feather, whose funding comes from heroin, it is after all the Golden Triangle, as well as control of the natural resources which are traded with Singapore and China.

Myanmar's generals hit where it hurts - While Son Parties in Singapore

[In the email, Htet Tay Za, 19-year-old son of Air Bagan CEO, Tay Za, wrote: “US bans us? We're still f---ing cool in Singapore. See my photos? We're sitting on the whole Burmese GDP. We've got timber, gems and gas to be sold to other countries like Singapore, China, India and Russia.]

BANGKOK - For Htet Tay Za, a 19-year-old member of Myanmar's elite who attends an exclusive and expensive international school in Singapore, life is often a party. A picture recently obtained by the Chiang Mai-based publication The Irrawaddy shows the young man being kissed on the cheek by a bikini clad Caucasian woman.

d85045d653f288b4583af69c3016f86b.gifIn another portrait, the partying youngster is seen in festive mood beside a male friend puffing on a water pipe. But the party may beover soon for Htet Tay Za, as his father who pays the bills for his lavish lifestyle, Tay Za, figures prominently in an October 19 executive order from the US Treasury Department that aims to block his assets and make it illegal for US citizens to have any business dealings with him and his private companies.

Anyways it's nice too know that my personal fan club of rightwhingnuts are still reading my missives. And that I continue to irritate them enough for them to comment. My life is so much better for knowing that.

Patels Panics

I got this message from Herr Werner Patels on MyBloglog account.
Please be advised that Eugene Plawiuk will be reported to the authorities for criminal libel and harassment this week. A report about this will also be sent to his union and the school he works at, since he is clearly not fit to be around children.

It appears that bi-polar blogger Patels is panicking, first he erased his offending web pages on Alberta Spectator blog where he attacked Montreal Simon and Red Tory last month, then he created a new set of multi-blog personalities called Eye On. Including Eye On Blogosphere.(aka Eye on Blogs)

What Eye on the Blogosphere is about

  1. cyberbullying
  2. freedom of speech
  3. harassment
  4. libel
  5. political blogging

Ironically his attack on them was the result of one of his purged posts (available thanks to Google Cache) where he said this;

As I wrote here a while ago, there seems to be a trend (primarily among lefties and/or Liberals) to muzzle bloggers by slapping them with lawsuits. Funny how you never hear about conservatives suing bloggers (unless I missed something, so if you have information on such a case, please do drop me a line in the comments section below).
Ah hem, well I for one would like to report Werner for threatening to do this, I am not sure he is a conservative, but he is a whingnut. Of course his threat to me is not the first time he has said he would sue me. Or report me to my employer which he has also threatened to do to me and other bloggers in the past.

Now in the midst of his latest revisionist rewriting of the story of his cyberstalking, he has created another blog called Common Sense Musings. Which used to be his Ideas And Issues Blog. And was the original URL setting for Alberta Spectator.

Common Sense Musings provides snapshots of the world we live in. This blog is about finding common sense, or rather, an attempt to instill some common sense, as well as about ideas and the issues that matter.

Of course with multiple blog personality Werner his opinions are as far from commonsensical as one can be.

At this site he reposts his posts from his other blogs. In this particular case he has reposted his revisionist history of his cyber-stalking and blog attacks on Red Tory and Montreal Simon with a passing reference to yours truly whom he calls and extremist leftist. It is the same story he published on the weekend in his new Eye On Blogs. Which I commented on .

Unfortunately he has purged all his posts at Eye On Blogs and reposted his new sanitized version at his Common Sense Musings.

I guess he figures if he says something over and over again on various of his blogs which he sanitizes then folks will be fooled into believing he is a reasonable, rational, fellow.

He also rewrote his article on Michael Coren, at yet another of his blogs purging any reference to me. The original article was posted on the now purged Alberta Spectator, there he had linked to my original article on Coren and recognized I had blogged on this first, he gave me a H/T.

  • Photo of wpalberta

On animals, mental disease and Michael Coren

we can eat them, wear their skins, experiment on them if we can thus improve the human condition. Clearly, if there's a mentally ill individual, it's Coren, but not people who really and truly understand animals and what they're all about. Hat tip to Eugene Plawiuk for alerting me to the story. Cross-posted from A Writer's Musings Alberta Spectator

As for criminal libel there is no such a creature, there is slander and libel and it is covered in a section of the criminal code. It is not a felonious offense so it is a civil matter which is resolved through a suit in civil court.

And purging your offensive articles, will not save your ass if you are sued.

Please have your lawyers contact my lawyers;

Pathetic Patels

Werner Patels commented on my last post about him.

Having been hoisted by his own petard, in the political fashion of the Stalinist School of Falsification, he has eliminated his offending posts for August at his blog Alberta Spectator.

These offending posts showed he was guilty of going off his rocker and attacking Red Tory with personal invective, taunts, insults, on top of a campaign of cyber-bullying and stalking.

Last night he went on to create a new blog;
Eye on the Blogosphere to deal specifically with his continuing campaign against bloggers he feels have slighted him. The title; Eye On is not even original he stole it from a Web blog set up to monitor Werner entitled Eye on Werner Patels.

He continues to claim to being the victim of cyber-bullying when in fact it is he that is the cyber-bully and cybers-talker, something he has done in the past.

Canada's political blogosphere

6 hours ago in Eye on the Blogosphere · No authority yet

others while remaining anonymous is the height of cowardice -- and after about five to ten minutes of "research" (yes, it was that easy) I was able to present to the blogosphere his real identity. Others in his posse (all deranged Liberals and extremist leftwingers) immediately came to his defence and denounced my exposing him. That I merely defended myself against a mentally unstable cyberbully was conveniently overlooked by those jokers. It was him, after all, who started it all;

Ever the multiple blog personality who suffers from bi-polar blogging syndrome he has overnight created not one but a whole new set of blogs.

He's Off His Meds, Again

Werner Patels that is.

It appears he has gone off on one of his multiple-blog-personality psychotic tirades again attacking various bloggers including some of those whom he had praised only months ago.

Just scroll down this aggregate of his posts here.

Here are response from those he attacked or have commented on his attacks.

Herr Patels has gone from being a blogging pundit claiming to be a Conservative, then a Liberal (provincial and federal ,he supported Kennedy for Leader, though not at the same time), a Green, a Dipper and back to a Conservative.

  1. Werner Patels Says:

I have been saying it now for months on end: of all the leaders in Ottawa, Layton is the most reasonable, most common-sensical and most honorable leader out there, which is why he and the NDP deserve my vote next time — I won’t kid myself and predict an NDP government, but it would be nice if the NDP could become the official opposition and move up to second place in the HoC.

Heck he even announced support for the Labour Party in the UK. All these flip flops in a year!!!

Being a compulsive multi-blog-personality type, he produces numerous blogs which then disappear as his mood swings. Lucky there is always Google Cache to track him.

As I said he suffers from multiple-blog-personality syndrome.

Werner put the tinfoil hat back on and stay away from the microwave.

I Thunk It

I must say thank you to Politics n Poetry and Werner Patels who nominated me for a Thinking Blog Award. And so as this is a meme I will now nominate my five favorite blogs that make me think.

The participation rules are simple:

1. If, and only if, you get tagged, write a post with links to 5 blogs that make you think,

2. Link to this post so that people can easily find the exact origin of the meme,

3. Optional: Proudly display the ‘Thinking Blogger Award’ with a link to the post that you wrote (There is an alternative silver version if gold doesn’t fit your blog).

These will be shameless plugs for folks who I consider kindred spirits.

1. Larry Gambone, my old pal who publishes Porcupine Blog, and is a long time anarchist activist. Larry represents the ideals of Proudhon and the mutualist traditions in Anarchism, voluntary cooperation, self management, and is a fellow pantheist.

2. Pat Murtagh, another old anarchist pal who publishes Molly's Blog under the pseudonym of Molly's Mews. He is decidedly not a fellow heathen, but that can be forgiven since he is critical of scientific fundamentalism as he is of religious fundamentalism. And I like the fact he does a weekly round up on his blog.

3.
BigCityLib Strikes Back who shares with me a fascination with cryptozoology.

4. Mike over at Rational Reasons, because he comments here, and because his blog should be read by more folks, who think you can't be libertarian and support the NDP.

5.
Idealistic Pragmatist a fellow Redmontonian and anonymous female blogger, whose commentary on fellow bloggers and political news is always worth reading.

There you go, I could add more, but the meme says five. So thats what ya get, a high five guys.

On to you.

Mixed Reviews For NDP Website

The gnu makeover of the NDP website gets mixed reviews;

The NDP ruined it?s website!

On the new NDP web site

NDP Website Updates: The Good & The Bad

My comment left at the above blog was; 'the posting of the link to the ND Youth in 6 point at the bottom of the page says a lot about the importance the party places on these core activists.' And there is no search function.

And then there is the ultimate thumbs up review, where a partisan blogger actually uses the newly provided NDP template for their blog.

Then I discovered it was just Werner Patels disguising himself as a Dipper.

Which is a good reason why you should not allow folks to use your template.

As you can see the green background colour has changed from light green to dark forest/green. Be still my beating heart.

And to think that after getting all huffy about Robert McClelland's My Blahg and the promise to address bloggers after the uproar over Brad Lavigne, this is what we get, blog tools.

Whereas the Blogging Dippers dealt with the McClelland crisis by electing a politburo to run it while remaining autonomous from the party.

Still waiting for the party blog......or blog agreggator.....or the party facebook page....or....oh well they have Werner to blog for them now....

Condos The Problem

In Alberta rents are rising 400% in Calgary. Edmonton is just as bad. Rent controls are needed. But of course the Alberta Government opposes rent controls.

In an interview Friday, Service Alberta Minister Lloyd Snelgrove said rent controls are a no-go."It just discourages landlords from building any new (units)," Snelgrove said. "It might seem a good thing for the person in that apartment at the time, but for the 2,000 people that are moving to town next month, there will be no buildings.

What a lot of blather and bullshit, landlords have not built any new apartments in years, the developers are all building condo's or transforming existing apartments into condo's.

While big property companies buy up existing apartments and slap a coat of paint on them and up the rents. Forcing renters to now become homeless.

Calgary based Boardwalk bought up many independent rental properties across Canada, making itself one of the largest rental monopolies in the country and one the largest REIT Income Trusts.

Commenting on the Trust's Q3 2006 results, Sam Kolias, President and
C.E.O., said

"We are pleased to report a strong third quarter for our Trust. Excellent
market fundamentals aligned to produce positive effects on the Alberta rental
market. After the strong summer we just enjoyed, our Trust is positioned to
end 2006 on a high note. We anticipate a solid winter and remain confident in
meeting or exceeding the majority of objectives detailed in our 2005 Annual
Report.
"The rental market remains robust in Alberta, as substantial net
provincial in-migration, high home prices, exceptional industry growth and
record low unemployment combine to generate solid demand. Our Alberta market,
which makes up in excess of 50% of our total portfolio, saw its already low
vacancy decrease still further through the third quarter."
"Current average monthly market rents in Alberta increased by
approximately $328 in the first nine months of 2006, from $817 as at
December 31, 2005, to $1,145 at September 30, 2006. Even as rents increase,
however, the gap between home and condominium ownership costs versus the cost
of renting continues to widen still further, pricing many would-be homeowners
out of the market. Given the 45% gains in house purchase prices seen across
Alberta in the past year, rental rate increases prove to be substantially more
affordable than home purchase. In fact, increasing home purchase prices make
renting the best value in accommodation available in Alberta today. These
market fundamentals continue to bode well for Boardwalk's future."

As this unplanned, unorganized, uncontrolled boom continues renters in Alberta suffer from housing flips and speculation. Proving once again as Proudhon said; property is theft; when landlords deny possession of property to renters.

Should the government adopt rent controls to level the playing field for the working class. Of course. Business always calls for the government to regulate in order to avoid a monopoly and to 'level the playing field', so why should rent controls be any different. They allow the government to cool down an overheated market that is exploiting an artificial lack of rental properties to gouge and screw renters.

Rent controls would be a solution, condo's and housing flipping are the problem.

A h/t to Werner Patels.

Linked Graphic Dangers

This is an example of what happens when you link to a graphic. Courtesy of the neandertal Alberta Seperatists at FreeAlberta. com.

I had linked to their graphic of Ted Moron for my article Ted Morton Goes Federal.

I guess they don't like being linked to criticisms of their favorite Moron.

I have to wonder though what is with the moonbats on the right and their Freudian fixation of accusing folks they disagree with of practicing beastiality. I guess it show's their rural roots.

And yes I removed their offensive graphic from my page, I guess they will be happy now. Of course if they weren't such dweebs they would have appreciated that I had linked to them, giving them more hits than they deserve.

And then there is a thing called email, that they could have used to let me know they did not appreciate my posting their picture as an embedded link. But heck why bother. Its easier being an asshole.

Even when Werner Patels and I have had our blog wars he at least did not stoop so low.

But when you're an asshole you act like an asshole. And after all we all know Alberta Seperatists are Assholes. Which is why they like asshole Ted Morton.

Gee I didn't know this until I Go0gled myself. Thanks for the heads up Werner. As they say knowing this is better late than never. Nice to know that taxpayers money is being well spent by the PMO-Paranoid PM Office. Of course this is not the first time my blog has been under survelliance.

Smoking Bans Hurt Business

Two interesting blog posts on the impact of smoking bans in Canada.

In Edmonton with the most draconian smoking ban in Canada bingos have lost $6 million dollars reports
Surreality Times.

ST also exposes the taxpayer funded cabal behind the anti-smoking crusade. Who are pushing their agenda on the current crop of wannabe Ralphs.

Werner Patels takes up the issue of the Quebec smoking ban;
Québec bar owners to go to court

The smoking ban in Edmonton will have a direct impact on casinos now that there is a new casino just outside the city limits which allows for smoking. Rivals say Enoch casino has advantage

Since the anti-smoking lobby is directly funded by taxpayers who smoke is it any wonder they want to increase tobbaco taxes?Anti-smoking Group Urges $2 Increase In Cost Of Cigarettes Gives them more money for their lobby industry, and it is a very lucrative industry for doctors and the government.

Hate Speech

On rare occasions I agree with Werner Patels, very rare, far less often than I agree with Sun Columnist Neil Waugh. However his post on the despicable but predictable venomous hate speech against Lebanese Canadians at the Western Standard, says it all. Also see his Holy Cow. Nuff said. Of course this kind of ranting can be expected from those on the right and those who support Israel unconditionally.

Herr Patels Proves My Point

My favorite blog nutbar, after this guy, Herr Wiener Patels proves my point about being a blog spammer.

He published an attack on me, not once but three times. Same post on all three of his blogs.

He also libels me by claiming I use 'school' property to produce my blog. Which I don't. I produce this on my home computer.Twit.

Ah blog wars are so much fun eh, wot. Since Herr Patels has proven my point, I will now cease documenting the trials and tribulations of this multipleblog personality.

Let the shunning begin.

  1. Blogosphere Is Fast Becoming A Cesspool

Werner Patels Cesspool

His cesspools runneth over. In an aptly titled blog article Blogging "cesspool" Herr Werner Patels promises to continue blogging his repetitive, turgid, uninformed opinions on three more new blogs.

I have decided to publish my editorials and columns on three mirror sites with different providers each, so that they remain accessible at all times.
Conservative Notes on Politics & Society and to Media Notes

These are just the latest blogs incarnations in his ceaseless campaign of Blog Spamming. Here is a listing of his previous blogs. You have been warned.

The guy just does not give up. It's not like he has anything of value to say. So he figures lacking any foundation in reality if he repeats himself over and over, in multiple blogs people might begin to believe he is an entire community

PS. at least he has dropped the pretenious MA after his name. And that only took a day of blog criticism to do. On with the show this is it.

PPS. and as you can tell I am Herr Patels biggest fan.

Blog Spam

Our old pal Werner Patels is at it again.

Lets see he trolls and he spits venom, against his favorite straw man; The Left.

He attacks Scott Tribe, (because Patels was kicked off the Progressive Bloogers while Tribe was a moderator there).

He whines about James Bow and his blogroll. And sees conspiracies in the blogosphere, aimed at...wait for it...him Which could simply be good sense on the part of those who are removing his multiple blogs from their listings.

For the past two years he has produced multiple blogs, as he went from running for the Alberta Liberals and supporting the Federal Conservatives and Greens, to finally settling on becoming a Federal and Provincial Conservative.

Now he lists himself as a MA. As in; It's Alright MA (I Am Only Bleeding)
Pointed threats, they bluff with scorn
Suicide remarks are torn
From the fool's gold mouthpiece
The hollow horn plays wasted words
Proves to warn
That he not busy being born
Is busy dying.

While having finally decided not to hide behind anonymous blogs, well except for this one, he has gone on to create a new field of blogging. Spam blogging.

Yep thats when you have more than six blogs, which repeat themselves over and over and over and over......his assertion is that the Left is intolerant. And by left he includes everyone this side of Attila the Hun.

The Left is not intolerant it is pseudo-right wingers like Patels who reveal themselves to be intolerant of others opinions. Which is of course why he blogs. Not that he has anything to say.

Here are a listing of his blogs, all of which should be avoided. Blogs are subject to change at Herr Patels whimsy.

Werner Patels Doesn't Like My Politics

The politically confused (provincial Liberal/federal Conservative/rabid anti-NDP) multipleblog personality Werner Patels is back with yet another blog. Another one. Sheesh. This guy just never gives up. Let's see that makes six blogs in one year, counting on my fingers. I may have missed one or three.

In one of his missives on his new homepage, not to be confused with another of his anonymous blogs, he defends everyone's right to be political, except yours truly.

Just like in politics, you have to stick to your principles. Don't pay any attention to ill-meaning or envious detractors. Those that criticize your ideas the loudest - and, particularly, those that want to deny you your right to express your ideas (such as a certain communist high-school janitor in Edmonton, who's been hounding and maligning me in his broken English, which is clearly not his first language) - disqualify themselves by the sheer vehemence of their "arguments".

Gee I thought I was principled. Now how could I deny anyone their right to express their ideas, what am I the ISP? Why to deny ones opinions is positively counter to my Libertarian principles. On the other hand I reserve the right to comment on the stupidity of ones opinions, which is more often than not in Herr Patels case.

Unless of course they aren't opinions but are threats to my person, my relatives, my work, my right to blog, etc., because of my opinions, in other words cyberstalking, which Herr Patels has done in the past.

Broken English. Wasn't that a hit comeback album by Marianne Faithful.

Do I detect a hint of classic Austrian racism here; 'broken English, not his first language,' janitor=immigrant. Nah......Herr Patels would never stoop to such stereotyping.

Welcome back Werner, ya still got nothing important to say.

This article was originally written in Esperanto and translated into broken English for the benefit of my readers.

Broken English Lyrics

Could have come through anytime,
Cold lonely, puritan
What are you fighting for ?
It’s not my security.

It’s just an old war,
Not even a cold war,
Don’t say it in russian,
Don’t say it in german.
Say it in broken english,
Say it in broken english.

Lose your father, your husband,
Your mother, your children.
What are you dying for ?
It’s not my reality.

It’s just an old war,
Not even a cold war,
Don’t say it in russian,
Don’t say it in german.
Say it in broken english,
Say it in broken english.

Note also that you also wont be able to see the voting results as they proceed.. its a true secret ballot to prevent any "freeping" of the vote if a favoured candidate jumps ahead or falls behind.

And since its a vote for moonbats from the Liberal and Conservative political sphere, I am not included. Nor are any of the Left. Interesting that.

It will be a difficult choice since several of my favorites are listed. And if you have been reading my blog (of course you have) you know who you, err they are.
Let the Games Begin!

The Candidates

Rob Anders - Conservative MP for Calgary West.
Reason given for nomination: "for crafting flyers featuring a masked gunman that suggests a link between crystal meth use and violent crimes to "homosexual sex marriage," then mailing it to a constituancy in another province. Maybe he thinks they'll all move to his own constituancy and vote? What a lovely way to spend our tax dollars"

Andre Bosclair - newly elected leader of the Quebec Parti Quebecois.
Reason given for nomination: for his cocaine revelations during the PQ leadership campaign and then his overreaction to Governor-General Michaelle Jean poking a bit of fun at him over said revelations at the yearly media/political roast.

Jason Cherniak - a Liberal blogger well known for his support of Paul Martin
Reason given for nomination: "projecting a Liberal Majority... and how about his recent post on why he feels the campaign is a good one and will only get better. How about his post back in the summer about the David Herle speech that Herle gives to everyone saying that "The libs will win in the east, get a 100 seats in ontario and make gains in the west." Jason bought into that"

Sheila Copps - former Liberal Deputy PM among other things. Now a political commentator/columnist.
Reason given for nomination: for openly admitting to giving out free advice to the NDP and Conservatives on how best to defeat Liberal House leader Tony Valeri in her former riding.

David Dingwall: former Liberal cabinet minister and president of the Canadian Mint
Reason given for nomination: his "I'm entitled to my entitlements" comments which have made their way into Tory TV spots.

John Duffy: Liberal strategist
Reason given for nomination: for attempting to defend Scott Reid's 'beer and popcorn line' (see below) by standing by it and repeating it, and offering the line, ""Well I don't think that any insult was intended to the Beer or Popcorn producers. Liberals are proud of those people."

Gurmant Grewal: former BC Surrey Conservative MP
Reason given for nomination: for trying to pretend he was an agent from Alias with the whole taping episode of purported "crossing the floor" talks he had with the Liberals.. plus his incident at the Air Canada check-in counter.

Carol Jamieson: Vice Chair GTA Presidents Council, CPC
Reason given for nomination: "She basically took the lead of a group of nobodies in the CPC party to try and oust Harper. Fair enough, but she did it this fall, when there's no way there would have been time to even hold a leadership convention to replace him. That alone wouldn't clinch it for her. But the fact that Harper is running a nearly flawless campaign and seems poised to become Prime Minister shows just how insane her entire crusade was".

Warren Kinsella: Former Liberal strategist and noted Canadian political commentator/blogger
Reason given for nomination: "I hate to put his name in for this because I generally like his site, but of late I have to nominate him for his diatribe vendattas on those who disagree with him. In particular, going over the top with first Robert McLelland (myblahg) and now John Baglow (drdawg). There's also the over-defensive and homophobic reaction to Carl Fulsome's rather bland critique of Fury's Hour. (Personally, I would also top it off with his unceasing vendetta against his party because he hates their leader which borders on the pathological ...It's just all too bizarre".

Mike Klander: Former VP for the Liberal Party in Ontario:
Reason Given For Nomination: Posting on his blog the now infamous photos comparing Jack Layton's wife Olivia Chow to a "Chow-Chow" dog... and then expressing surprise that anyone other then his friends would have read the blog entry.

Tim Murphy: Liberal Party adviser- Prime Minister Martin's Chief of Staff
Reason Given For Nomination: his part in the Gurmant Grewal taping affair, for getting involved in talks with Grewal in the first place when he should have known better.

Monte Solberg: Conservative Party MP Finance Critic
Reason Given For Nomination: "for the following quote on his blog in May 2005 upon losing the nonconfidence vote : 'I look forward to going to church where I wish to be chided, and made to feel very sorry and then to be forgiven.' ...it seems to me that wanting to be humiliated in order to feel better just because the Speaker of the House voted for the government is a bit much"

Carolyn Parrish: former Liberal and independent MP
Reason Given For Nomination: her interview in December on CBC's The Current, where she took umbrage at political blogs for attacking her and asked the question how to stop the blogs from attacking her by use of some legal mechanism.

Werner Patels: Alberta blogger
Reason Given For Nomination: "From Blogging Tory to Liberal/NDP then ha ha, it was all a big hoax on you lefties, to I'm a Provincial Liberal in Alberta but now a Conservative National and the latest, I'm too partisan". Rather notable that a Blogging Tory was the first to nominate him. Also notable that there wasnt a rush from that group to congratulate him on his Gurmant Grewal-like stunt.

Scott Reid: Liberal Communications Director:
Reason Given For Nomination: For making the infamous ""Don't give people $25 a day to blow on beer and popcorn" comment while attacking the Conservative Childcare plan.

Gordon Stamp: Former Campaign Manager for Alberta Conservative MP Peter Goldring:
Reason Given For Nomination: Being forced to step down as campaign manager for writing under the pseudonym "Psycho" at right-wing site Free Dominion advocating Alberta separation and comparing Alberta to a battered wife.

Belinda Stronach: Current Liberal Cabinet Minister
Reason Given For Nomination: "She owned the public with the blond hair and see-through cloths; once elected, had a fairly hot affair with Peter MacKay; and finally managed to break his and Stephen Harper's heart by switching over to the Liberals. What a backstabber to her constituents."

Joe Volpe: Current Liberal Cabinet Minister
Reason Given For Nomination: "I'm gonna have to go with Volpe for his ridiculous overreactions. He called the Conservatives racists twice in 2005, once even invoking the Ku Klux Klan." Also mentioned was Volpe's penchant for overspending his expense account when taking guests out to lunch or dinner.

Margaret Wente: Globe and Mail columnist:
Reason Given for Nomination: "for calling Rick Salutin an "apologist for terror" in her Globe and Mail column of July 9, 2005."
